seven drug traffickers, Abdolmajid Ghafran, Zia-ol Haq Gotraji, Alireza Lavarzehi, Jom'eh Gogij, Behollah Gorgij, Naim Ghaljathi e Mohammad Hassan Zehi, were hanged publicly in a park in the south-eastern Iranian city of Zahedan, the Kayhan evening newspaper reported. 
It said the men had been found guilty of involvement in international narcotics trafficking and attacks on security forces. They were hanged in Zahedan's Laleh Park. Zahedan, the capital of Sistan-Baluchestan province, is close to Iran's border with Afghanistan and Pakistan and on one of the main international heroin smuggling routes.
