the Butembo Military Tribunal in Nord Kivu (in eastern DR Congo) has sentenced two Congolese nationals, three Ugandans and two Kenyans to death. All are civilians and were sentenced for the death of Kambala Kisoni, a controversial local businessman. Kisoni had been accused of gold smuggling and financing militias by the UN. Kisoni was shot dead in his office in Butembo last month.
