in Singapore, Chief Justice Chan Sek Keong and Justices Phang and Rajah of the Court of Appeal allowed Malaysian national Galing Kujat's appeal against his death sentence for bludgeoning Chinese national Cao Ruyin, 40, to death and robbing him in February 2008. Jabing Kho, 24, and Galing Kujat, 26, both from Sarawak, were sentenced to death in July. Jabing's sentence was upheld.
