SINGAPORE “ONE-EYED DRAGON" GIVEN DEATH SENTENCE

Tan Chor Jin, 41, the "one-eyed dragon", was given the death penalty for shooting nightclub owner Lim Hock Soon, 40, at his Serangoon flat in Singapore last February. Tan had fired six shots at Lim with a .22 calibre pistol. In closing submissions to the court, Tan repeated his defence that he had not intended to shoot Lim. He claimed the gun had misfired.
