Six men were executed in Beijing for separate crimes.Wang Jinlong was executed for murdering three people in a Beijing dance hall on April 24, 1999. Mei Shijun and Zhu Qingjie were convicted of 16 armed robberies in Beijing between July 1995 and December 1999, as well as killing one person and taking part in the gang rape of a woman. Cui Enwei was convicted of the murder of two women, and Wang Jianmin of killing his son during a fight. Liang Guimin was executed for killing a man he suspected of being his wife's lover.
