Sixteen members of a gang accused of running a massive protection racket in Xuchang, Henan province, were executed after a public sentencing rally, AFP reported. Li Quanyin, who from 1993 gathered dozens of former prisoners from labour camps into a gang, was executed with 15 of his associates, the China Police Daily reported.
