SOMALIA: AL SHABAAB EXECUTES MAN IN MOGADISHU

Al Shabaab militants executed a man in Mogadishu, Somalia, for spying for the transitional federal government. Mohamed Hashi Siad, 34, was sentenced to death by al Shabaab judge Sheikh Omar at an ad hoc court with no lawyer after being captured from Mogadishu's Abdi Aziz district. Siad was executed in Deynile district.
