SOMALIA: AL-SHABAAB EXECUTES SUSPECTED GOVERNMENT MILITARY OFFICER

The firing squad of the Al-Shabaab militia group on 19 December 2018 publicly executed a suspected government military officer in Middle Shabelle’s Galboole village. A sham Al-Shabaab court in Middle Shabelle convicted Mohamed Ali Mohamed, also known as ‘Kartoon,’ of being an apostate “for being a government soldier” and for purportedly working with the African Union (AU) troops in the country.
