Al-Shabaab militants executed two men in a public square on 5 October 2021 in the Lower Jubba's Jamame district, accusing one of the men of being a sorcerer and the other a Somali government soldier.

Al-Shabaab militants executed two men in a public square on 5 October 2021 in the Lower Jubba's Jamame district, accusing one of the men of being a sorcerer and the other a Somali government soldier.
Mohamed Mowlid Aden, who was suspected of being a government soldier and Abdullahi Hassan Omar, who was accused of practicing dark magic, were both shot dead by a firing squad in front of at least a hundred people, according to witnesses.
Both men have lived in Jamame, a farming community some 70 km (43 miles) north of Kismayo.
