the Al-Shabab Islamic Movement in Somalia sentenced a French national adviser who is being held in captivity somewhere in Banaadir Region to death. Reliable sources confirmed to Radio Gaalkacyo that the group also wants to execute unnamed officials and soldiers of Somali government who were captured in recent fighting.
The move comes after fighters loyal to Al-Shabab kidnapped two French national advisers from Mogadishu two months ago although one of them escaped from the captors to the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia.
The group has also vowed to deal with any one that is spying against the Islamic groups in Somalia and those who are closely working with the African peacekeepers and the TFG.
