SOMALIA: MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH AFTER HE BEHEADED A UNIVERSITY STUDENT

The Banadir Regional Court sentenced to death a man who was found guilty of killing a university student last month in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu.
The court found on Said Haji Hussein that he beheaded Ahmed Abdi Osoble on 13th October 2014 in a mosque in the neighborhood of Argentina’s Karan district.
Dr. Hassan Mohamed Nur, Deputy of National Prosecutor, presented in front of the court evidences indicates that Said Haji Hussein deliberately killed Mr. Ahmed Abdi Osoble. The defendant Said Haji has admitted the killing of Osoble arbitrary.
Dr. Hashi Elmi Nur, chairman of the Banadir Regional Court, has announced the death sentence of the man convicted of the murder.Finnish authorities are working to overturn the sentence to death, on the grounds that he is also a permanent resident of Finland.
