Liban Ali Yarow, Somali Military Court Chairman, sentenced Awiye Ahmed Jama’ to death for a bomb attack in Mogadishu in 2013.
According to the military court, Awiye Ahmed Jama’ admitted that he was a member of Al-Shabaab and one of the bombers who detoned an explosive laden laptop in Maka Al-Mukarama hotel on 8 November 2013.
On the same day, a car bomb attack outside the hotel killed at least six people and left the area covered with blood and burning vehicles. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the blast.
