the relatives of Sheekha Omar Hussein, the man stabbed to death by the son of the teacher he was convicted of killing, said they were not aware of the Islamic court’s execution verdict upon him.
“The relatives of the stabbed man and those whose man was killed agreed on compensation, but the court itself ruled the execution case against Sheekha Omar Hussein and the verdict was not in common ground,” said Leila Ahmed, wife of the condemned man’s uncle and in charge of the welfare of the killer during his detention. Omar 48, was executed in front of crowd of people on the orders of the Islamic court in Permuda village, near the Somali capital.
