A few months ago, the Bari region Supreme Court sentenced Saeed Elmi to death by firing squad for the murder of Abdiwali Olad, a Puntland soldier. The commander of Puntland Police Force, Colonel Saeed Ga'amey, said "execution procedures were put in place to enforce the court ruling." Many people in Bosaso gathered to witness the execution of the former Puntland soldier.
