SOMALILAND’S MILITARY COURT SENTENCES SOLDIER TO DEATH

A Somaliland military court on 13 March 2021 sentenced a military soldier to death for killing a civilian.
The soldier is said to have killed a civilian who was a school teacher in Gabiley Town in Somaliland, and was later arrested by the police.
Evidences related to the case were presented at the military court, and it was pointed out that the family of the slain teacher has demanded that the soldier be brought to justice.
Finally, the Court has sentenced the soldier to death after he was proven guilty of the offence.
