South Korean President Kim Tae-chung instructed the Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister, Yi Chong-pin, to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of Ho Young Il, 30, and six other North Koreans defectors, whom China had repatriated on January 12. Kim stated that, "There are reports that the seven North Korean defectors who were sent back to their country may face execution and I feel really feel guilty over them." (see South Korea)
