SRI LANKA: DEATH SENTENCE FOR DOUBLE MURDER ACCUSED

Colombo High Court Judge W.T.M.P.B. Warawewa sentenced Sahul Hameed Rajainudeen of Colombo 2 to death for the murders of Cader Mohideen alias Galle Face Nana of Java Lane, Colombo 2, and his wife, Miskin Saibu Rajabdeen, on August 12, 2003. According to the evidence, the accused stabbed Nana to death and set his house on fire while his wife lay inside. The accused was an employee of Nana’s shop.
