TAIWAN: HUANG SUPPORTS ABOLISHING DEATH PENALTY

the Taiwanese Government nominee for top prosecutor said that he supports abolishing the death penalty. But Huang Shih-Ming also said the sentences for the 44 convicts already on death row should be carried out. He said that implementation of any case of the death penalty would have to be approved by the justice minister.
