TAIWAN. MORATORIUM ON DEATH PENALTY TO BE DISCUSSED

the European Economic and Trade Office (EETO) in Taiwan, The French Institute in Taiwan, National Taipei University and Taiwan Law Society will hold an international seminar on the abolition of death penalty in Taiwan and other countries on November 3.
The forum will encourage a public debate on introducing a moratorium on death penalty in Taiwan, said Guy Ledoux, head of the EETO, who noted that today is the "World and European Day against the Death Penalty."
