The High Court in Mbeya Zone, Tanzania, has sentenced to death three people after they were proven guilty of murder.
The court is hearing cases temporarily at Rungwe district court.
Reading the judgement in the first case Judge Samwel Karua of the High Court Mbeya Zone sentenced to death Rashidi Nyerere who was charged with killing his uncle Saidi Nyerere.
Earlier, State Attorney Lugano Mwakilasa told the court that the accused committed the crime on August 8, 2010.
Mwakilasa told the Court that the accused intentionally committed the crime after accusing his late uncle of having bewitched him.
In the second case judge Karua sentenced to death two accused among them a woman for raping and killing a three-year old baby.
The accused are Mage Kalamu (45) and Ezekia Nasoro Matatu (43) who were jointly charged with murdering Edina Daudi after raping her.
State attorney Mwakilasa told the court that the accused committed the crime on January 21, 2010.
