The 35 soldiers suspected to be involved in the 2 November 2000 army takeover now face life imprisonment if they are found guilty by the military tribunal

The 35 soldiers suspected to be involved in the 2 November 2000 army takeover now face life imprisonment if they are found guilty by the military tribunal. Military's legal aid Lt Col Etueni Caucau said the soldiers no longer face the death penalty as they are now being charged with second degree mutiny.
