The Afghan Northern Alliance said that the Taleban herded together civilians from the villages of Bodmoshki, Gardigag and Shahar Nik and executed 500 by firing squad the Yakawlang District earlier in the month. It added that there were a number of international humanitarian aid agency staff among the dead. Haji Mohammad Mohqqiq of the United Islamic Front for the Salvation of Afghanistan (UIFSA) said that Taleban practices racial discrimination against Shi'I tribes.
