The Chinese government officially denied that police had tortured South Korean drug traffickers in the process of their investigation

The Chinese government officially denied that police had tortured South Korean drug traffickers in the process of their investigation.
Jong Geonhwa, head of China's External Affairs Department said in talks with his South Korean counterpart Kim Gyeong-geun in Seoul that the no record of any request for an interview with the Korean envoy existed for two jailed criminals identified as Jeong and Park.
He said there was absolutely no evidence to support their claims of mistreatment.
