The Communist Party of the Russian Federation intends to collect signatures for a petition to hold a referendum on the most important problems facing the country, Ivan Melnikov, deputy chairman of the party's Central Committee and a State Duma member, said.One of these referendums will deal with fighting crime and corruption and may include an item on the resumption of capital punishment for especially grave crimes, Melnikov said.
