The Court of Criminal Appeals overturned the conviction and death sentence of Damon Richardson, who was convicted of ordering the murders of 3 people in 1987. Richardson, now 38, was convicted for the deaths of Napoleon Ellison, 22, Quinnie Smith, 25, and Vivian Webb, 32. The Court of Criminal Appeals ruled that prosecutors failed to disclose evidence to the defense that likely would have "severely undermined" the credibility of the state's star witness.
