The EU strongly condemned the executions of the three persons recently sentenced to death in Sudan

1 MIN READ
The EU strongly condemned the executions of the three persons recently sentenced to death in Sudan. The EU reiterated its categorical opposition to the death penalty in all circumstances and called on the Government of Sudan to refrain from further executions and other forms of cruel or inhuman punishment. It also stressed that such actions go against the benchmarks in the framework of the ongoing dialogue between the EU and the Government of Sudan. The Central and Eastern European countries associated with the European Union, the associated countries Cyprus, Malta and Turkey, and the EFTA countries, members of the European Economic Area, aligned themselves with this declaration.
