the Federal Court in Malaysia upheld the conviction and death sentence of a woman and her boyfriend for the murder of International Islamic College student Juliana Md Fuzi six years ago. A five-ember panel chaired by Chief Justice Tun Arifin Zakaria dismissed the final appeals brought by Noralina Ahmad Dasuki and Muhammad Khairul Anuar Abdullah against a High Court's decision which had found them guilty for the murder and sentenced them to death. "We unanimously find that there are overwhelming evidence to support their convictions," said Justice Arifin. Also presiding on the panel with Justice Arifin were Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak Tan Sri Richard Malanjum, Datuk Hasan Lah, Datuk Seri Mohamed Apandi Ali and Datuk Ramly Ali. Noralina, 26, and Muhammad Khairul, 31, were found guilty of killing Juliana, 20, who was Noralina's friend, and sentenced to death by the High Court on July 14, 2009. They committed the offence between 10pm on March 23, 2007 and 8pm, the following day. Noralina and Muhammad Khairul lost their appeals at the Court of Appeal which dismissed their appeals on April 30, last year.
