The Florida Supreme Court is vacating the death sentences given to Thomas Thibault

The Florida Supreme Court is vacating the death sentences given to Thomas Thibault. Thibault, 27, was condemned in September 2001 after pleading guilty to the Thanksgiving 1998 shooting deaths of Bryan Harrison, 21, Charlotte Kenyon, 26, and Daniel Ketchum, 27, during a robbery. The high court said it was compelled to order a new sentencing hearing for Thibault because the case record failed to show that he had waived his right to a sentencing hearing before a jury.
