The Golkar Party's presidential aspirant, General Wiranto, retired, said big-time corrupters must be sentenced to death if people are to be made afraid to commit the crime. Speaking at a function where he elaborated on his mission, vision and programs as a presidential candidate, Wiranto said he would urge the judicial branch to enforce the law on the matter if he was elected president on July 5, 2004. "Capital punishment must be administered indiscriminately and fairly to anyone who has been found guilty of corruption," he said.
