the Jordan Criminal Court sentenced a man to death for robbing and murdering a store owner in Mahes in January 2007. The court, comprised judges Awad Abu Jarad, Ahmad Atoun and Fawzi Nahar, also sentenced two juveniles to 10 years in prison each after finding them guilty of complicity in the robbery and premeditated murder. Court papers said the three defendants decided to rob the store owner and kill him on January 17, 2007. Verdicts will automatically be reviewed by the Court of Cassation within the next 30 days.
