The Livingston Parish jury unanimously decided that Michael Weary should be put to death. The all-white jury concited Weary, who is black, in the April 4, 1998 death of Eric Walber, a white student. Defense attorney Corbett Ourso lodged several objections to the makeup of the jury. All were overruled by state District Judge Ray Chutz.
