The Maricopa County Superior Court handed down the death penalty on Richard Glassel, 62, the enraged homeowner who killed 2 women in a shooting spree in a retirement community. Glassel was sentenced to death for killing Nila Ruth, 69, and 58-year-old Esther LaPlante on April 19, 2000.
