The Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Acting Chairman Ismail Kose criticized MHP's partners in the government coalition who supported the approval of the EU bill abolishing the death penalty for terrorist crimes, and claimed that their purpose was to save terrorist leader Ocalan.
He stressed that the MHP is strongly opposed to four articles in the EU adjustment bill which are the abolition of death penalty, broadcasting and education in mother tongue and the foundations of non-Muslim communities in Turkey. He said his party was getting ready to apply to the Constitutional Court for the cancellation of these articles.
