The pro-Hamas Palestinian Information Centre web site identified the six Palestinians condemned to death for collaboration with Israel as Muhammad Thabit Khalil al-Ra'i, 47, Sami Khadr Isma'il Hajji, 40, Mahmud Muhammad Abd-al-Salam al-Sharif, 52, and Suhayl Shihdah Zaqqut, 33, all from the city of Gaza. The other two men are from Khan Yunis and are Husam Zuhdi Muhammad al-Hissi, 22, and Abd-al-Halim Mas'ud Hamdan, who is 21 years old, and not 15 years old as previously reported, the web site said.
The court session, which was held on 6 April [reported on April 7] was chaired by Colonel Abd-al-Aziz Wadi, Lieutenant Colonel Munjid al-Rayyis and Major Khalid al-Zarad. The court found the six Palestinians guilty as charged and issued its verdict to execute them by a firing squad.
The court decided to commute the sentence of defendant Abd-al-Halim Hamdan to 15 years in prison with hard labour, starting from his detention date.
