the Putrajaya Federal Court, in Malaysia, upheld the conviction and death sentence on a Nigerian for trafficking in 630.4 grammes of heroin two years ago. A five-member panel led by Court of Appeal president Tan Sri Md Raus Sharif unanimously dismissed Jowy Manjoro's appeal against a Kuala Lumpur High Court's decision which had found him guilty and sentenced him to death for drug trafficking in a room at Regent Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on March 27, 2000. Manjoro was unsuccessful in his appeal at the Court of Appeal.
