The Tajik Supreme Court imposed a death sentence on Dzhakhongir Ruziyev, the former head of the Tajik precious stones committee and his [unidentified] nephew. Ruziyev was charged with intentional murder, organizing contract murders, gross misappropriations and the storage of firearms in the period between 1997 and 1998. Ruziyev's nephew committed two contract murders ordered by his relative.
