The Uzbek newspaper Na Postu reported that a man named as A. Shavkat was sentenced to death and an accomplice to 20 years in prison for murdering a woman and seriously wounding her daughter in a break-in.
The two broke in, using the third member of the group, an "innocent and nice-looking lady", and demanded that the housewife should hand over all her valuables at knifepoint. They ended up by stabbing the woman to death and seriously wounding her daughter before they made off with several valuable objects and 50 dollars.
"The criminal trio was detained a few hours later. The girl's life was saved. The court sentenced Shavkat A. to death and Ilkhom N. to 20 years' imprisonment. The nice-looking Svetlana A. did not escape punishment either," the newspaper report added.
