three people who hired a taxi and violently robbed the driver were sentenced to hang by a Thika court, in Kenya. Stephen Kimani Robe, Joseph Mungai and David Nderitu Mwangi were condemned to death by principal magistrate DA Orimba. The accused had denied that on September 3, 2010 in Ruiru, Kiambu county, armed with a pistol and other weapons, using violence, they robbed Francis Kariuki Kiarie of Sh2,200 in cash, his taxi and a mobile phone.
