Twenty six defendants were sentenced to death, and 11 were acquitted according to a final verdict issued by the penal court in Sanaa. Three accused were sentenced to 10 years in prison, one to four years, and one to eight years. The gang was accused of murdering 16 persons and committing highway robbery in Al-Suhul valley in Ibb Province, 190 km to the south of Sanaa.
