Two former administrative officials have been sentenced to death by a tribunal of Cyangugu (South-west). Evariste Munyempara and Damien Kamenyero, former senior advisors of Kigano county, have been found guilty of having carried out attacks against the Tutsi they administrated.
Since January 1st, 2001, Rwandese tribunals have condemned to death at least 91 for their participation in the genocide. No execution has been recorded since 1998.
