TWO IRANIAN CHRISTIANS MAY FACE EXECUTION FOR APOSTASY

two Iranian women jailed in Iran's notorious Evin prison for converting from Islam to Christianity may be executed for apostasy, RFE/RL's Radio Farda reported. Marzieh Amirizadeh, 30, and Maryam Rustampoor, 27, were arrested in March, although they converted to Christianity about 10 years ago. Recent judicial revisions outlaw the death sentence for apostasy, however until the provisions are finalised there is a danger they will not be followed.
