Two Koreans on trial in Heilongjiang, China, on drug-trafficking charges are likely to be sentenced to death, court sources said

Two Koreans on trial in Heilongjiang, China, on drug-trafficking charges are likely to be sentenced to death, court sources said.
The suspects, one of them identified as Lee, 54, and the other as Kim, were charged with producing 1.33 tons of methamphetamines in a Chinese city about 300 km from Harbin. They were arrested in March along with five other accomplices.
The court sources said that it was unlikely for the two suspects to receive sentences other than death at the first trial in light of the fact that they produced more than one ton of methamphetamines.
The Korean consular office in Shenyang was informed of their trial and is following it closely.
