Two Vietnamese men were executed at dawn by firing squad at an execution site in Thot Not town in southern Can Tho province. Huynh Thanh Binh, 25, had been condemned to death for strangling a taxi driver before stealing his vehicle and cash in February 2002. Nguyen Van Toan, 26, was put to death for raping and drowning a nine-year-old girl in March this year.
