UAE. GARDENER SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR MURDER OF WOMAN

the Sharjah Sharia Court of First Instance sentenced a Pakistani gardener to capital punishment for stabbing a newly-wed woman to death in Sharjah, UAE. The Sharjah Public Prosecution charged the 22-year-old, identified only as “S.K.”, with the premeditated manslaughter of the young UAE national “N.” who he allegedly killed at her premises in February 2006.
The accused went to deliver some laundry at the house when one of the housemaids reportedly let him in, police said.
N., who was in her early twenties, was said to have scolded the gardener after spotting him inside the house.
Initial interrogations revealed that S.K. took a kitchen knife and stabbed her several times. Police arrested the man who was hiding nearby.
