Zayed Yaslam Ali, an Emirati, was sentenced to death in absentia for joining a terrorist organisation, the Federal Supreme Court ruled.
Ali was found guilty of joining the terrorist organisations Daesh and Al Qaida.
Mohammad Rashid Abdullah Al Yamahi, also a citizen, was handed down 10 years in prison, while Munif Awad Naser Al Hamimi,18, was jailed two years for setting up and running an internet page to promote the ideology of the terrorist organisation.
The court ordered that computers, cameras and money recovered from the defendants be confiscated and the website be shut down.
