In the UAE, a Criminal court in Ras Al Khaimah sentenced two Emirati men to death after they were convicted of killing another man by running him over with their car.
The two, aged 28 and 37 years, confessed to knocking over the man (without identity) following a dispute in Al Muarid area in the northern emirate.
The court handed down its verdict after the victim’s family refused to pardon the killers and accept blood money.
Execution of convicted killers in the UAE is carried out by a firing squad and has to be endorsed by the country’s President.
