UGANDA. CHRISTIANS CALL ON PRESIDENT MUSEVENI TO ABOLISH CAPITAL PUNISHMENT

a group of born-again Christians in Uganda condemned the killing of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and also appealed to Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to abolish capital punishment. "We have entered a new year as the world mourns the death of the former president of Iraq. Sentiments aside, I want to request the parliament of this nation to abolish anything that comes close to capital punishment. If somebody has caused the death of another and we lose a life, we do not want to be party to the killing of another life," said the senior pastor of the Victory Centre Churches.
