UGANDA: POLICE OFFICER SENTENCED TO DEATH

a local Defence Unit (LDU) officer in Kabale, Uganda, was sentenced to death for murdering a resident of Rutenga cell in Kabale Town. High Court judge Justice Lawrence Gidudu sentenced Richard Kyarikunda for shooting Alex Mbabazi, 19, dead with an AK-47 in 2008. No motive was found.
