unidentified individuals who claimed that they were members of the Internal Security agency arrested Ahmed 'Izzat Shaqqourah, 52, from Khan Younis City. On the same day, he was released with marks of torture on his body and transported to the European Hospital in the city of Khan Yunis. However, he was abducted from the hospital on January 9, and was later found with bullet wounds sustained in various parts of his body. The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, published a video which apparently showed Shaqqourah saying he was cooperating with the Israeli Security Services.
