UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR MURDERING WIFE

the federal supreme court (FSC) of the United Arab Emirates rejected a life verdict by the Fujairah appeal court and reinstated the death sentence of an Emirati. He allegedly murdered his wife, in her 20s, in Fujairah by setting her ablaze and dumping her body in a well. The victim’s relatives appealed the reduced sentence to have Islamic Shariah law enforced.
